I love Ireland because...
the keeper of the  beautiful old Marsh Library doesn't mind a bit your having to pass through her office to access the exposition. Heck, she even gave me copy of the sign I wanted to take a picture of.
The same sweetness can be found in the independent bookstore keeper who will spend fifteen minutes helping you locate a book he know he doesn't have, and will then take careful note of the reference and thank you for it, because the little you told him about the book made him feel like reading it.
